Michael Ivanciu represents clients in real estate transactions in both New York and New Jersey. As part of his real estate practice, Mr. Ivanciu represents both sellers and buyers of bank-owned real estate property transactions. Mr. Ivanciu also represents clients in short sale transactions in addition to customary residential, cooperative, and condominium transactions. Mr. Ivanciu’s real estate practice also incorporates landlord-tenant matters. He has represented both landlords and tenants in both summary proceedings and holdover actions. Alongside his landlord-tenant practice, Mr. Ivanciu has drafted winning appellate level briefs defending appeals from trials held at the Housing Court.

Furthermore, Mr. Ivanciu’s law practice extends to Surrogate’s Court proceedings in both New York and New Jersey. He has successfully proven kinship for international clients in administrative proceedings for high-value estates.

Finally, Mr. Ivanciu’s law practice also extends to general civil and criminal litigation matters, in both state court and Federal court, to include appeals.

Additional Experience:

Mr. Ivanciu is a retired field grade officer that served in the New York Army National Guard. He served over 20 years in the U.S. Army, enlisting shortly after graduating from high school in 1999.

Education:

Mr. Ivanciu is a 2010 graduate of the St. John’s University School of Law. In addition, he has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University.

State Bar Admissions:

Mr. Ivanciu is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in the Third Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the New Jersey District Court and the Southern District of New York.
